Every Saturday night from May through September, weather permitting, Upper Iowa Speedway provides racing thrills at the Fairgrounds. Hot laps begin at 6:00 p.m., and racing at 6:30 p.m. Visit the web link for details, or call 563-382-9984.

Next Regularly-Scheduled Board meeting: Monday, July 12th at the Community Building at 7:30 p.m.

 

Special Events Calendar:

May 13, 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. two performances of the Great American Circus of the Stars in the Danan Lansing Memorial Building. Clowns and Jugglers, McGruff the Crime Dog, Beautiful Aerialists, Get your picture taken with Sponge Bob.

May 21, 7:00 p.m. Bulls and Barrels Rodeo in the Horse Arena, featuring the Grand River Rodeo Company. Also includes barrel racing, mutton bustin', pig wrestling, and firemen's scramble. Tickets $15 in advance, $17 at the gate, children 12 and under free. Firemen's Benefit dance follows in the Show Barn at 9:30 p.m. with DJ Cowboy Kahuna.

June 13-16, 6:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade; all meals catered in the Danan Lansing Memorial Building.

2008 Auxiliary Appreciation Supper for all Fair Board Auxiliary members took place on the snowy evening of Sunday, November 30th at the new Danan Lansing Memorial Building on the Fairgrounds. The brave souls who ventured out into the snowstorm enjoyed good food and great company. (See pictures HERE)
