Fair 2008 kicked off Tuesday morning, July 8th with a full day of events, beginning at 8:30 AM with the 4-H/FFA Dog Show to lead off an action-packed day of livestock judging, Skid-loader Rodeo, antique farm tractor parade, Fair Queen Coronation at 4:30 PM in the Show Barn, Polka Party, and Tuesday's Grandstand feature events of the Starseeker Karaoke Finals, and teen star country artist Chase Mitchell.
Additional Grandstand features this year included The Beatles American English Tribute, the Upper Iowa Speedway Featured Stock Car Races, and two days of the stadium-busting PRCA Pro Rodeo, preceded Saturday morning in the horse arena by our own Girls 3D Open Barrel Racing.
The Evan's United Midway returned this year for all five days of the Fair, Tuesday through Saturday. Also, the highly-popular Nick's Kids Show daily stage shows, pony rides, and exotic petting zoo in the Kid's Fun Zone for four days, Wednesday through Saturday. And, of course, we all enjoyed the incomparable food.
